Virtual Training Assistantâ„¢ Online Help
The Development Plan is an action plan for a student to improve their proficiency in assigned competencies. Three types of items may be assigned on a development plan.
Each group is displayed as a horizontal bar going across the page. The name of the group is shown on the left side of the bar, along with an arrow. You can expand a group by clicking anywhere in the horizontal bar. Only one group may be open (expanded) at a time.
To change the groups on the page first select a grouping from the "Group" drop down list. Then click the Apply button.
For each item in the Development Plan, the second column of the grid
shows a green arrow (). Click the
green arrow to view more information about the item and to see how to
complete the item.
The Assessor who assigned the task may or may not allow the task to be marked "complete" by the student. If you are the assessor, or if you are the student and the assessor allows students to mark the task complete, you can click the Credit button from Task page.
The Assessor who assigned the resource may or may not allow the resource to be marked "complete" by the student. If you are the assessor, or if you are the student and the assessor allows students to mark the resource complete, you can click the Credit button from Resource page.
Courses require completing the course in order to have it marked as
complete on the Development Plan. Depending on the type of course
(self-study vs. instructor-led) and whether the student already has the
course "in-progress", the green arrow ()
will automatically take the student to the correct place in Learner to
proceed with course completion.
Courses must be completed after
the "assignment date" on the Development Plan in order to show
credit on the Development Plan. If the student previously complete
the course prior to the assignment
date, that completion does not count toward the completion of the development
plan.
