Search BlogThis page is used to search Learner Blogs by text or author and return a list of blogs that match your search criteria.
The following Blog fields are searched when Search text is used:
Title
Summary
Article Text
The following Blog Author fields are searched when Search author(s) is used:
Author First Name
Author Last Name
Once results appear, you can filter them by their associated Skills.
There are two ways to reach this page:
Clicking Search for the Quick Search feature on the top of the VTA Learner window when "Blogs" is selected as the last used Quick Search.
If you are already on another Search page tab (such as "Courses", "People" or "Resources"), select the Blogs tab.
This page can be added to Your Favorites (
) or set as your Learner start page (
) by clicking the icon in the top-left corner of the page.
This is the VTA Site that will be searched.
Learner allows you to search within a specific Site or across All Sites.
Click the My Site button to search for blogs at your site (if your Site is not already selected).
If your system is running in a multi-site environment, you can select another site.
Enter your search term in the Search text box, then click the Search button or press the Enter key.
Enter your search term in the Search author(s) box, then click the Search button or press the Enter key.
You can enter text in both fields to filter results for both criteria.
Once your search results appear, the Skills filter will be populated with the Skills associated to the blog articles.
De-select a Skill value to filter those articles out of the results.
The results are displayed with a variety of information about each blog to help you find exactly what you are looking for.
Results count on page and total.
Sort By allows you to re-sort the results for your preferred view.
Title is an active link that will bring you to the View Article page.
Author will be displayed below the Title.
The Summary will be displayed below the Author.
Skills associated to the article will be displayed below the Summary. Each Skill is an active link which will take you to the Blogs For Skill page to display all articles associated with that Skill.
Average Rating and rating counts will be displayed if they are turned on by the Author for the Blog entry. If Allow Ratings is not turned on, the area will be blank.
The Publish Date of the Blog.
Paging controls will appear in the bottom-left of the results grid if it contains more than one page of values. Use these to navigate from one page of results to another.
