Requirement Groups

Requirement groups are used to indicate that you should take one or more of a group of courses.  With requirement groups, you have a choice of which courses to take in order to meet the requirement.

You access a requirement group from the Learning Plan page.  On the Learning Plan, requirement groups are indicated as follows:

  1. The Course Title column of the plan is shown in italics.

  2. Beneath the Course Title, there is an indication of how many of the group courses you have completed.  For example, "Completed 1 of 2".

  3. The action column of the Learning Plan has a "View Detail" link.

There are two main sections of this page.  The first section contains information about the requirement group, such as:

  1. Student Name
If you are logged on as a student, this will be your name.  If you are logged on as a supervisor, this will be the name of the student whose Learning Plan you are currently viewing.

  2. Group Name
The name of the requirement group.  This name was selected by your System Administrator.

  3. Description
A short description of the requirement group.

  4. Requirement
This row indicates how many courses are needed to fulfill the requirement.  For example, if this row says "Complete 2 of the following 5 courses", then you must complete any two of the five courses listed to meet the requirement.

  5. Student Status
This row indicates how many of the listed courses have been completed by the student.

The next section contains a table that lists the courses available to meet the requirement.  The columns in this table include:

Tip: Courses that contain pre-class lessons may only be canceled from the My Schedule page or the Lessons for Class page.
