This page displays information about a selected class. You can reach this page from either the Course Schedule or View Class Schedule page. This page can be used to enroll in a class or cancel your enrollment in a class. The following information is displayed on this page:
Host Site
The site hosting the class.
Course
The course title and course code.
Dates
The class start and end dates.
Status
Classes may be "Open", "Shut", "Host Site
Only", "Plan Only" or "Relatives". You
may not enroll in classes through Learner that are "Shut". If
the class is full, the number of students on the waiting
list will be shown. If
you enroll in a class that is full, you will be placed on the waiting
list for the class.
Open - Any student may enroll in the class.
Host Site Only - Only students belonging to the "host site" of the class may enroll.
Plan Only - You may only enroll in the class through the My Plan option of My Learner.
Relatives - You may only enroll in the class is you belong to a selected group of sites that are allowed to enroll in the class.
Location
The room or location where the class will be presented. If
a classroom has not yet been assigned, this field will say "TBA",
which means "To Be Announced".
Class
Contact
If a class contact has been identified, and they have an e-mail address,
their name will be shown here. Click
on the name to open an e-mail page to send the class contact an e-mail.
Time
The start and end time for the class.
Credit
Hours
The number of credit hours that attending students will receive.
Topic
The topic covered by the class.
Tip:
Many times the topic field will be left blank by your system administrator.
The topic
is normally used: a) When the class will deviate from the standard course,
or b) The system administrator would like to provide additional information
about the course.
Comment
Any special comment about the class.
Instructor(s)
The names of the instructors that will teach the class.
Description
A description of the course.
Objectives
The course objectives.
If the class is available for enrollment, a Signup button will be displayed on this page. Click this button to enroll in the class. Note: Be sure to check the Status field to determine if there is room in the class before clicking the Signup button. Learner will confirm your enrollment by displaying the Enrollment Results page.(See Also: Waiting Lists)
Tip:
For supervisors, both the Signup button and
the Cancel Enrollment button are replaced with
the Enroll/Cancel
button. Supervisors
can this button to enroll or cancel students. (See
also: Group Enrollment)
If you are already enrolled in the class you will see a Cancel Enrollment button. Click this button to cancel your enrollment in the class.
Tip 1:
If you cancel your enrollment after completing one or more pre-class lessons, you will LOSE credit for those pre-class
lessons!
Tip 2:
The system administrator may not allow you to cancel your enrollment within
a certain number of days of a class. If
you know that you will not be able to attend a class, cancel your enrollment
as soon as possible.
If you have not logged on to the system, you will need to logon before you can enroll in a class.
