Virtual Training Assistantâ„¢ Online Help
This page is accessed from a variety of places in Learner when the See Schedule or Register (green arrow) buttons are clicked or a session is clicked from the Course Schedule page.
It displays information about a selected class.
It can be used to enroll in a class or cancel your enrollment in a class.
See also: Enrollment Results.
Your ability to self-enroll/cancel,
batch enroll/cancel others, emails, etc. will depend on your system configuration
as set by your System Administrator.
The available buttons will differ depending on your access rights/role.
Students will only have buttons to manage their own enrollment.
Supervisors will have buttons to manage their own enrollment and students that report to them.
Student have 3 buttons available:
Sign-Up
Cancel
Add To My Wishlist
If the Sign-Up button is active, you can click it to enroll into the class event.
The Sign-Up button will be disabled if one of the following is true:
you have not met the required pre-requisites associated to the course (see the Prerequisites field below)
you are already enrolled in another class session for that same course (scheduling conflict)
you are enrolled for a different course on the same date, at the same time (scheduling conflict)
You will see a confirmation of your
enrollment on-screen in Learner. You may receive an email confirming your
enrollment with a ics attachment to add it to your calendar, such as Microsoft
Outlook. If a session requires supervisory approval or requires online
payment, your enrollment status would initially be "Attend (Pending)".
Once the approval or payment is received, your status will be updated
to "Attend". You would receive a new email with an updated ics
attachment with your updated status.
If you are already enrolled in the session, you can click the Cancel button to cancel your enrollment.
You will see a confirmation of your
cancellation on-screen in Learner. You may receive an email confirming
your cancelation with a ics attachment to remove the event from your calendar.
If you are no longer able to cancel
your enrollment in Learner (because it is too close to the event date),
you will see the following message on-screen in Learner: "It is too
late to cancel enrollments in this class. Contact your System Administrator
or the class contact if the student cannot attend the class."
If you cancel
your enrollment after completing one or more pre-class lessons, you will
lose credit for completing them!
If the scheduled times or locations of a class do not meet your needs, you can add the course to your Wishlist by clicking the Add to My Wishlist button.
You may receive regular notifications
about scheduled events for that course until you attend or you remove
it from your Wishlist.
Supervisors have 4 buttons available:
Enroll Me
Cancel Me
Enroll / Cancel Group
Add To My Wishlist
For supervisors, the Enroll Me button works exactly like the Sign-Up button does for students (see above). It just makes it easier for a supervisor to enroll themselves into an instructor-led, classroom event.
For supervisors, the Cancel Me button works exactly like the Cancel button for students (see above). It just makes it easier for a supervisor to cancel their enrollment from an instructor-led class event.
Supervisors can use the Enroll / Cancel Group button to enroll or cancel multiple students at the same time.
