How To: Cancel an Enrollment

The methods used to cancel a class enrollment depends on whether you are a supervisor or a student.  

If you cancel your enrollment after completing one or more pre-class lessons, you will LOSE credit for those pre-class lessons! 

Your System Administrator may choose to disable one or both methods of canceling class enrollments. 

Cancellation methods for each level of user are discussed below:

Student Cancellation

There are three ways to cancel a class enrollment as a student:

  1. From Scheduled Training

    1. Click Scheduled Training to display your enrollments.

    2. Click the "Cancel" link in the Action column of the class you want to cancel.  Learner will display the Class Description page.

    3. Click the Cancel button to cancel your enrollment in the class.

The above method is the preferred (and easier) way of canceling a class enrollment. 

  1. From My Plan

    1. Select "My Plan" from the menu.  The system will display your Learning Plan.  If you are enrolled in a class you will see a "Cancel" link in the Action column.

    2. If you see a "Cancel" link, click the link to view the Class Description page.  You can then click the Cancel button to cancel your enrollment in the class.  

    3. If you see a "Resume" link, click the link to view the Lessons for Class page.  In the Lessons for Class page, locate the row where the "Type" column says "-Class-".  This is the row for the instructor-led class.  Click the "Cancel" link in the Action column of this row.  Learner will display the Class Description page.  You can then click the Cancel button to cancel your enrollment in the class.

  2. From Schedule

    1. Select Class Schedule from the main menu.  The system will display the View Class Schedule page.  

    2. Locate the class for which you are enrolled.  Click the link for that class in the Title column.  

    3. The system will take you to the Class Description page.  You can then click the Cancel button to cancel your enrollment in the class.

Supervisor Cancellation

There are three ways for a supervisor to cancel student enrollments:

  1. From Scheduled Training

    1. Select Scheduled Training from the main menu.

    2. Select the desired student.

    3. Click the "Cancel" link in the Action column of the class you want to cancel.  Learner will display the Class Description page.

    4. Click the Cancel button to cancel your enrollment in the class.

The above method is the preferred (and easier) way of canceling a class enrollment. 

  1. From My Plan

    1. Select My Plan from the main menu.  Select the student whose enrollment you wish to cancel.

    2. For any course on the student's plan that includes a "Cancel" link in the Action column, click the Cancel link to view the Class Description page.  Click the Cancel button to cancel the student's enrollment in the class.

    3. Some courses may have a "View" link rather than a "Cancel" link.  This is an indicator that the class has either pre-class or post-class lessons.  Click the "View" link to go to the Lessons for Class page.  Locate the row where the "Lesson Type" column says "-Class-".  Click the "Cancel" link in this row to go to the Class Description page.  Then click the Cancel button to cancel the student's enrollment in the class.

  2. From Class Schedule

    1. Select Class Schedule from the main menu.  The system will display the View Class Schedule page.  

    2. Locate the class for which you wish to cancel students.  Then click the link for that class in the Title column.  The system will take you to the Class Description page.

    3. Click the Enroll/Cancel button.  The system will take you to the Group Enrollment page, where you can select students whose enrollment you wish to cancel.
